What do you want to create?
Nov 28, 2007 at 04:58 AM by Mr. John HavensWe're looking to get a lot of sessions this year that are focused on people looking to create new media and/or get it critiqued in a supportive, idea-rich environment. So if you're trying to start a videocast or wiki for your schoool, or are wondering how to create an interactive media department for your Fortune 500 Company, think of creating a session (under, "register to speak") like:
-Improve my video: I'd like to show the first edit of a video I've done. I'd love other video creators to tell me what I can improve from a technical and content standpoint. Plus I'd love to know how to market it when finished.
-Hire my staff: I'm VP, Marketing and we'd like to build our interactive marketing staff. What positions do I need to create and fill? Who are the best people for those jobs?
You get the picture. Create an atmosphere where others can pitch in to help you with your idea. Remember, Podcamps are the places where you'll find both PowerPoint presentations and these more panel-discussion oriented sessions.
So let the community help you! Go to "register to speak" and sign up for a session. If you have any problems signing up, let John do it and email him at: john AT blogtalkradio DOT com.
I'm looking forward to Podcamp 2.0. I just came across this great map of the online community that made me think of Podcamp and all the great educational breakout sessions that it offers: http://xkcd.com/256/ or http://www.secondlifeinsider.com/2007/05/02/here-be-anthropomorphic-dragons/
Enjoy!
